Steven Rosen Conductor

After earning a Bachelor of Music Degree at the Boston Conservatory of Music, Mr. Rosenreceived a Conducting Fellowship to attend the Graduate School at the Indiana UniversitySchool of Music and was later chosen by Leonard Bernstein for private conducting studyfollowing a series of masterclasses. Over the course of his career, Mr. Rosen has conducted more than 2,000 performances, which include: Symphonic Concerts, Pops, Opera, Ballet, Music Festivals and Educational Concerts.

A winner of multiple international conducting competitions and fellowships, Mr. Rosen was oneof four finalists in the prestigious “Toscanini International Conductor’s Competition” and the onlyAmerican conductor chosen to tour with the Orchestra Sinfonica dell’ Emilia-Romagna “ArturoToscanini” throughout Italy. He was later selected by the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra toconduct a series of concerts celebrating American composers, including Ellen Taaffe Zwilich,which received high acclaim.
